Personal values in Sweden – a research

Recently the 2013 edition of an annual research on Swedish values and attitudes in society at large and at the workplace has been published. The research is an initative by Preera, Skandia, Volvo IT and Swedish Municipalities. It is unfortunately in Swedish, but I will give a very short summary of what the top 10 of personal values in 2013 shows:

humor
family
responsibility
honesty
taking responsibility
compassion
positive attitude
fairness
adjustability
independence

There is a similar list for something they call organisational values. This list is most interesting when compared to the research done in other countries. For example client satisfaction only comes in at the 55th place in the Swedish research whereas many other countries have it in their top 10. (rådande kultur = actual culture and önskad kultur  = desired culture). Interesting stuff!

clientsatisfaction

The research refers to Barrett’s Value Centre. I am not sure if this means that the questionnaire being used is based on Barrett’s work.
